Week 4- Quote Keeper.

"I went to tell them good-bye", - Farr. This quote sums up a lot of this book, throughout this book many of the mens friends and even family died. It was very hard for them to go back in later years and tell them good bye. "Months of dirt, blood, and grime just washed away", - Farr. This quote said by Farr was a great one. When he was done taking his shower he said this and it just shows how long they had to go without good care of there bodies for months after months. Y0u could imagine what they would look like. pg 186 "In twenty minutes, we were all sick as dogs.", - Olmstead. This quote displays how bad of conditions these men were fighting in. They would get sick so quick because of the -30 degree weather and the wind. They just did not have the gear they needed for this war.

  1. i like the second quote the most because it can can be taken in two way. the way you put it as they are in harsh conditions or as the call the korean war the forgotten war, its like washing away all the wounded and killed. or something around those lines.
