TANKS Used in The Korean War


Many of the tanks used in the korean war were very well armoured.The war was a long lasting and was hard on the troops and people in the war.


Here is a list of the tanks used in the war MK1- Weighed 3 tons, the top speed for for this tank was 20mph, and only seated two people. SU-76- Wieghed 12.35 tons,top speed was 28mph, and seated around four people. Sherman(M4A3E8)- Wieghed 35 tons, top speed was 30mph, and about six people fit comfortably. Chaffee- was one of the lightest tanks used weighing only 20 tons, it was also the fastest with a top speed of 34mph, and seated around four to five people. Pershing- classified as a heavy tank it weighed 46 tons top speed was 30mph, it could fit up to 1 to 2 to 3 to 4 to 5 people comfortably. (Korean War:tanks and fighting vehicles) The Patton- was classified as a medium wieght tank wieghing in at 46 tons, this tank had a top speed of 30mph,and could fit up to five people max. Centurion- was known as the heavy tank wieghing in at 57 tons, and had a top speed of 21.5 mph, and only had a capacity to carry three people. the T-34 Tank was first used in the mongolian battle against Japan. Two-hundred T- 34 tanks were used by the koreans during the war. many of the north koreans had destroyed most of the south koreans land and living quarters.(Parallel, sending 180 soviet-built T-34 tanks across the 38th)

In the korean war many tanks were destroyed by either opposing tanks or opposing artillery. If you were in the korean war would you be scared? What would you do in the place of some of the many heros that fought in the " Forgotten War"?
