Journal Writer Week 3

Hi my names Bob Harbula. I am an ammo bearer but right now i am in the machine gun squad in George Company. We have taken fire like crazy in the Chosin Reservoir. But i would like to call it "Death Valley." Before we headed towards the Reservoir we met a British squad called DrysDale. We soon arrived at the Reservoir and we were taking heavy fire we eventually escaped but most of Drydales forces were left behind to save themselves. Then we had to take Hagaru. This was a devestating time for me. I lost my bestfriend that was so dear to me his name was Joe Rice. He died when we were on East Hill. As soon as i lost him i flipped and opened fire on all the chinese which gave our postion away. Eventually i ceased fire and went on in life.
